The new website was a dramatic shift in both functionality and design. The previous site was notoriously cold and not representative of the University. How could it be that a University website with 5000 pages contains only 5 images, outside of the homepage? How can this same University website's text filled pages have virtually no web visibility? The relaunched site flip that in every way. Each page is both image and content-rich tuned for high impact SEO. The goal of the relaunch was to bring the potential students closer to the school on all levels. The university’s story is told through images, videos and relevant textual information on each page. The former text-only 5000-page site was reduced to 500 pages that were refocused on to each stage of the students journey. Like the site structure, the content was rebuilt from the ground up with all new images throughout, over 50 new videos deployed, and 100% new text content rewritten for the new site format and designed to key into the most relevant search terms.
The new JFKU site was launched on the Wordpress CMS with completely custom-built modules. The deployment from launch to publication took 6 months including the production of all Photography, video and text content as well as the structural buildout of the site. The new site resulted in a significant increase in views and site exploration in addition to being a key factor in the highest conversion rate in 8 years.
